Our Story

Today in America, we are missing crucial education for individuals and families on how to handle their finances.  So many questions go unanswered: How much money do I need for retirement?  What amount should I be saving each month?  What products and services will provide the best financial plan for my family?  The answers to these questions are not being taught in junior high, high school, and even most general education courses at colleges and universities nationwide.

We as Americans make great incomes compared to much of the world, yet so many of us are very unprepared when it comes to having adequate savings and proper retirement planning.  We are highly educated in our fields of specialty, but when it comes to financial literacy, most people don’t know what to do, or how to even start.  This is where Common Sense Financial can make a difference!

The crusade of our company is to bring a common sense approach to the unfamiliar topics of money, retirement, and long-term savings.  Our marketing plan is to meet one-on-one with as many individuals and families as we can to educate and create a personalized financial plan that meets their financial goals.  We are a grassroots movement striving to teach and educate, and thereby empower Americans to take control of their finances.  We invite you to join in our crusade!

Leadership Team
Scott Webb

Scott Webb

Scott and his wife Tiffani were married in 1992. They have four incredible children and three grandchildren.
Scott has worked in the financial industry since 1992. He has had the opportunity to help train thousands of Agents nationwide during his career. He was with one of the top financial firms in the United States for 22 years. He sat on an Executive Leadership Committee that helped steer the direction of that company. He attained a prestigious field position of CEO for 13 years before he sold his business. Scott’s reasoning behind forming Common Sense Financial happened as he was training his own daughter with his previous company. Times had changed, the company had been sold to a new entity. Scott wasn’t pleased with the current selection of products for his clients and the changes to the comp plan. He felt the clients and the agents deserved better. Scott, with several of his key leaders and with their collective experiences, formed Common Sense Financial to put the client first, then the agent. The company profits would then be split amongst the qualifying agents each year. Because of this philosophy, Common Sense Financial is rapidly growing to become one of the great companies in North America.

Steve Ross

Steve Ross

Steve Ross began his career in the financial services industry 18 years ago as he was looking for an avenue to learn how to manage his own personal finances. After researching schooling and business options, he found an opportunity that not only educated himself in personal financial management, it also taught how to help families from all walks of life, from those with the smallest of assets to the very wealthy. He realized there is a great need for the same education he received, particularly with everyday friends and neighbors who are often overlooked by financial professionals. Steve developed a passion and drive that has helped him become, the entrepreneur, business leader and financial expert he is today. Steve and his wife Carrie have 5 children and live in Bluffdale, UT.

Mike & Tasha Marchetti

Mike & Tasha Marchetti

Tasha’s been in the financial industry for the last 8 1/2 years. She grew up around the industry with her father Scott Webb. She learned and loved how she could help families with their financial future. Tasha says, “Because of the lifestyle I grew up with, and the positive impact I saw it had on families, I felt it was an obvious direction for me to pursue. Getting the opportunity to be taught, trained, and work side by side with my dad, who has shown me such honesty and high integrity, I felt like it was the chance of a lifetime! I’ve strived everyday to follow in his footsteps and live up to his expectations of me.” Tasha’s high energy, product/system knowledge, quick wit, and outstanding leadership has set her apart from the crowd and has proven to be one of the top leaders since she began in 2012.

Mike was introduced to the financial industry through Scott Webb many years ago while he was in college, and subsequently was introduced to his daughter, Tasha, and as they say, “the rest was history!” Mike has been known to say that he never had planned on a career in financial services, but only attributes that to not being aware of what help could be available for families. By being able to learn more about the financial industry, he eventually found a career that could allow him to truly help people, by developing personal relationships with those that he met along the way. “Being able to sit down with all different types of personalities, and provide education that isn’t freely talked about or available, then seeing that light turn on as the hope returns for their future… turned out to be exactly what I didn’t even realize I was looking for when it came to my career path.”
